GOVERNANCE (ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE)

BORAD OF DIRECTORS

The RADO Board consists of seven (7) members; each member on the RADO Board shall be designated representing the interest of the National Olympic Committees (NOC) and the Governments.

The current RADO Board is made up of the following countries:

-  Bahrain
-  Kuwait
-  Oman
-  Qatar
-  Saudi Arabia
-  Emirates
-  Yemen

TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEES

The GCC & YEM RADO has three (3) technical advisory committees namely; Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee, Result Management Committee, and Appeal Committee. 

The RADO office, in consultation with the Chairman, shall be responsible for the formation of the Ad-Hoc Committees from a pool of experts who were trained under supervision of the World Anti-Doping Agency and RADO.  

Education Sub- Commission

The Education Sub- Commission has been established as per to a through recommendation made by  the RADO Board in its 10th RADO meeting held in Kuwait on 1st May 2012. 

It is consist of  (7) members, who are experienced in the anti-doping field, representing the member states, and chaired by Dr. Naser AL- Ansari, the representative of the State of Qatar.

The Awareness Committee is aimed at finding and using the most feasible and practical efficient and effective methods that positively contribute actively in spreading and communicating all important information related to the anti-doping programs to all member states in the Region.More...


REGIONAL SECRETARIAT (Regional Office)

The Regional office of the Gulf States and Yemen Regional Anti-Doping Organization is based in Kuwait at the Olympic Council of Asia’s Headquarters.

The Secretariat office consists of: 

-    Director General.
-    Executive Secretary.
-    Treasurer (a representative of the member states where the regional office is located)
